Lois- I believe most people who donate their money to a church do so believing the money is used to help the poor, homeless and to support the operation of the church. If they knew their donations were used for investments, donations would stop. reply report. SpletChurches that don’t grow seldom invest financially in their pastor. They consider it a frill or waste of money. They wrongly use terms like, “Let’s not spend money on the pastor because they don’t need it or it will look self-serving for us to do so.” And hence, they continue the flat and downward spiral of “no growth.”
