WebJul 2, 2015 · Hello and welcome Talia, weightwise, the Peak1 is a bit on the heavy side for backpacking though its very simple to use. I do not backpack that long to make any recommendation. Perhaps someone with more experience with this kind of stove will come along. They are indeed good cookers. WebJun 25, 2024 · Other users here complain about the extra weight of the Coleman, but once the weight of the fuel bottle is included with the Primus, the difference is only about 200 gm. It cost a little more than diy stoves and a lot less than msr or jet boil. However it performs just as well.
