These seats have a cheap little temperature activated switch in them that shuts off the power to the warmer when it reaches temperature, also it helps to not chap your backside. These switches are not the most accurate things and if the truck is warm it may not even let the seat heat up. WebDec 23, 2011 · I spread the hog rings with a pair of needle nose pliers. There was a burn spot in the element. I cut off the end of the wire on both sides of the burn. I soldered a piece of similar sized wire into place and put everything back together. Put the seat back. I then did, basically, the same thing to the passenger side.
